When you play in a cover band, you have to expect the unexpected. Sometimes, thing are out of your control and change your day dramatically.

We drove up to headline the Hoyt Lakes Water Carnival, got our sound check in, and the opener was playing. No rain was in the forecast at all. Out of nowhere, this absolute typhoon of a hail storm hit and destroyed our stage. All of our gear was soaked, the PA was drenched, and the show was over before it started.

Since we couldn’t plug anything in and the stage was ruined, the event hired a local band to play inside the beer tent. They asked us to come on stage and play a few with their gear. We only ended up playing 7-8 songs, but the crowd got into it and we had a great time.
