Minneapolis Music Series Show – CANCELLED
We were ready. Jeff had a set list (wow!). Collin shaved his back. Laura even shaved her front. Nothing could stop the Mob! from showing the Tuggs/Vics peeps a thing or two about light jazz rock and roll.
Well. Nothing but a day of biblical-style rain. Sadly, when playing an outdoor show, rain and volcanoes can be an issue. And, a bigger tear-down-the-cheek is that this music series is booked mostly at once, and for the whole summer. So, no “rain checks” here, folks.
There’s always 2012. But, that rain/volcano issue is probably going to cause issues, with the end of the world and all.
FlashMob! opens for Soul Asylum
FlashMob! had the distinct privilege of opening for Minnesota legend, Soul Asylum, this summer at Lakeville’s massive Pan-o-Prog Summer Festival. The show was a hit, and the reviews were all very positive (some excessively so).
One of the best parts about being in FlashMob! is getting the chance to share the stage with great Minnesota bands, like GB Leighton, Martin Zellar, Good for Gary, Mick Sterling, Uncle Chunk, and on and on.
The event was held outside near Babe’s Music Bar in Lakeville, a regular stomping ground for the us. (Check the schedule to see when Babe’s is up next.) We hit it for about 75 minutes, then cleared out for Soul Asylum. Great crowd, great sound. All around fantastic show.
And a special thanks goes out to Soul Asylum for including us in the killer show (and for being pretty damn cool when we got to briefly chat).

Recapping Swing for Sophia 2011
The Mob! went soft and cuddly (acoustic) for a great event called Swing for Sophia. Check out the details of this amazing day here. One of our learnings on the day: We need a better acoustic PA system.
